$53,000 (settlement)

Facts: September 11, 2007-pick up truck v bicycle. Our client riding his
bike  in the bike lane got hit by a man on his way to work. He incurred
$10,500 in   medical costs and $4,000 in loss of earnings. Our 50 year old
plus client  returned to riding his bike within three weeks after the
accident. Injuries: a fractured left fibia ( small bone in left leg) and
    broken ribs.

The case resolved without having to file a lawsuit and incurring
thousands of dollars in litigation costs that come out of the
client's pocket. We were successful in getting his medical insurer
to reduce the $10,500 owed to just over $4,000 and putting more
    money in his pocket.

    **********
    $100,000 (settlement)

Facts: August, 2007 our 60 year old + male operating a Toyota van got rear
ended at  a traffic signal by defendant's full size van causing  $10,000 in
    property damage to clients van.

$32,000 incurred by client in medical costs; approximately $10,000
paid by the plaintiff's medical insurance carrier..

The accident aggravated a preexisting cervical herniation (i.e.
Bulges in the disks of the neck that touch a nerve root(s) which
resulted in numbness/tingling to the hands, arms and/or fingers.
The case resolved  without having to file a lawsuit.

The case settled without the need to file an expensive and
prolonged lawsuit. It settled for the maximum  amount available
under the terms of the defendant's insurance policy. As a result,
our firm avoided spending thousands of dollars in legal costs. By
doing so, our client received a larger settlement.

As a bonus to our client, we were able to convince our client's
medical insurer to accept $1,000 as total payment for medical
payments made by the insurer instead of the $10,000 owed to them by
our client. The insured agreed to waive the balance of $9,000 our
client owned to them under the insurer's right to reimbursement
    contract.
